In August of 2008 I represented a couple purchasing some Greenville Real estate and I also assisted them in obtaining a State loan. They received 2000 dollars in down payment assistance. The mortgage broker didn't initially even offer them this, until I pointed the program out to him. It made me feel great to assist this family and to help the mortgage broker get a loan she otherwise may not have gotten. The family just didn't have the money to put down on the real estate they wanted. It was a winning situation for everyone. Now this may not be typical, but it is just one of the extra steps I will take to help you purchase real estate.
In addition to down payment assistance, the rates for the loan are was a little better than traditional mortgages. But in order to get the details, since the program does change and at times has not existed, we would need to discuss this in more detail.
