"I came out here one Sunday morning with a cup of coffee ... I stopped the car ... got out. The sky was crystal clear blue. It was just a beautiful morning. The sun was rising up from the east behind me." And to the north was a breathtaking view of the mountains in Greer SC, he said. "And that was it. I called my wife and said, 'OK. I found a lot.'" The location of this Greer SC real estate and Greer SC home just a few miles from the intersection of State 101 and Wade Hampton Boulevard, Autumn Hills is a small, quiet community of two-story and ranch-style Greer SC homes. The Greer SC houses sit on half-acre lots. So far, 95 houses have been built and 25 more are planned, said Mark Nyblom, president of Rosewood of the Piedmont Inc., the developer of Autumn Hills. Square footage ranges from 1,372 to 2,600. The Greer SC subdivision doesn't have a pool or clubhouse, but a 11/2-mile walking trail is currently under construction. The trail will start in the center of the Greer SC subdivision and lead hikers to Lake Robinson, Nyblom said. "It's a really neat feature. I've started doing this in my subdivisions. It's a nature trail/paved walking trail," he said. The trail will connect Autumn Hills and another new, adjacent neighborhood, The Woodlands at Walnut Cove with other Greer SC homes for sale and Greer SC real estate. Melanie Edwards said when she drove through the real estate in Autumn Hills looking for a house, she liked the fact that people were out and about. "People were walking their dogs. The children were out playing, and they talked to you and they were friendly," Edwards said. "I said, 'This is the kind of neighborhood I want to be in.'" Michael and Heather Parker said Autumn Hills is a Greer SC neighborhood that was just the right spot to build their Greer SC home. The 1,800-square-foot, single-story Greer SC home provides ample living space for the couple and their dogs, Lex and Lacey, and their two cats, Lily and Lucy. "We really love the neighborhood," Mrs. Parker said. When Peggy Huffine spotted her future Greer SC home in Autumn Hills, it was love at first sight. "We were looking for a nice, peaceful neighborhood. We fell in love with the house as soon as we saw it. We didn't even go inside. This was one of their model houses," Huffine said, referring to her two-story, four-bedroom Greer Sc home for sale with a spacious front porch. "The porch was a big plus," Huffine said. And so was the location of the Greer SC neighborhood. "It's convenient to town, but yet you're not in town," she said. "You're not overrun with traffic." Resident Paula Hughes said she was impressed with the Greer SC real estate sizes. "All the lots are big. It's just spaced out. I don't like looking out my dining room and looking into somebody else's dining room or living room." What Hughes actually sees from her dining room is her back yard and lots of trees. "I can see things in the distance and I can see mountains." Autumn Hills is a Greer SC neighborhood that also provides a family-friendly atmosphere, said resident Deana Nelson. "Our cul-de-sac is usually filled with kids," Nelson said. 2005 pleted; a total of 120 are planned.
