A little bit about downtown Greenville South Carolina.

When you are walking through downtown Greenville sc, you will see many things that will attract your attention. From the statues of famous men and women from the area to the tree lined streets. What you may or may not see in Downtown Greenville SC is OUR PROBLEM WITH MICE!!!! Yes, they are all over the place. Would I buy Greenville SC real estate or visit an area with A PROBLEM WITH MICE!!! Of course not. But I would make an exception for downtown Greenville's mice. They are friendly. Part of it may be because the mice in downtown Greenville are sculptures hidden throughout the town and designed and thought of by Jimmy Ryanm who was a senior at Christ Church Episcopal School when he designed and raised money for the Mice on Main sculptures.

Downtown Greenville South Carolina received national attention in 2003 when it was among five cities recognized by the National Trust for Historic Preservation for its revitalization of downtown. There have been articles featuring Greenville South Carolina's downtown in Southern Living and have helped to get the word out to people. When my sister-in-law first visited her exact words about Downtown Greenville South Carolina were "This town is gorgeous." "I never expected it to be so nice."

From Reedy River falls to the new minor league baseball stadium now opened in downtown Greenville, the area is booming. Falls Park on the Reedy and its new pedestrian bridge has attracted many new and repeat visitors to downtown Greenville SC. The 13.4 million dollar renovation project surely has paid off. Downtown Greenville Sc is a mecca for visitors throughout the country and the world.

THE WEST END

When I moved here 7 years ago my friend, who had lived in the Greenville SC area for about 4 years once said to me, "You don't want to drive down there". He was referring to the West End of Greenville. I told him it didn't look so bad in the West End of downtown Greenville, let's take a ride. We did, and he was presently surprised at how the area had "matured". Just in the short period of time I have been in the Greenville SC area the West End has turned into a great place to eat, shop, and walk. It has become home to dozens of art galleries, dance studios, stage theaters, the new Artisphere festival and other performing arts. The West End of downtown Greenville SC has truly grown, and continues to grow.

PUBLIC ART AND MUSEUMS

Also in and near downtown Greenville SC there is the Museum of Art on College Street, the Little Theater, and the county library

There are plenty of things to do in downtown Greenville SC and the real estate in Greenville SC is booming. Even as of this writing when things in the Real Estate market aren't going so well, people still are flocking to buy Greenville SC real estate, nearby Greer SC real estate, the booming Simpsonville Sc real estate area, and the up and coming stop in the foothills of the mountains, Travelers Rest SC real estate.

Hope you visit soon.
