Greenville Community Information
Welcome to my Greenville South Carolina section of my website. As a resident of Greenville and a present homeowner; I thought I would add this section to my website. I enjoy Real Estate so I am quite willing to take the time to work with clients that are interested in living in the Greenville area. After all, some of us like the beach, some of us like the mountains.
Real estate prices have increased and seem to be continuing to do so, despite trends in mortgage rates. It just seems to be the thing to do; buy a Greenville home. With its great fishing at Lake Keowee and Lake Jocasee, the Greenville area seems to be the place to be. Lets not forget about Lake Robinson in the great city of Greer South Carolina.
In addition, there are many new developments being started in the area. From Travelers Rest, to Greer, to Simpsonville all of the other areas surrounding the city of Greenville South Carolina, more and more homes are being built by developers such as D.R. Horton. The great thing about the area is, if you don't want to live in a "builder's community", it is still a place where you can find a great piece of land at an affordable price and build your dream home on it.
A little bit about Greenville South Carolina
Greenville South Carolina is a beautiful area that is close to the mountains of North Carolina and only about 150 miles from the city of Atlanta, Georgia. The city of Greenville offers a gorgeous downtown, lovely parks, great golfing, great schools, and is a great area to raise a family. Furman University is within the County of Greenville and Clemson University is only a 30 to 40 minute drive from the town center. The city also offers an abundance of shopping at the Haywood Mall and Cherrydale Shopping Center. In addition, a short drive from Greenville there is Lake Keowee and Lake Jocasse. Both lakes offer plenty of shoreline and plenty of pristine scenery and fishing. Lake Keowee lots and homes offers over 330 miles of shoreline and 18,500 acres of pristine freshwater fed from the Blue Ridge Mountains.
It is said that Greenville, South Carolina is the fourth fastest growing area in the U.S. and Spartanburg, which borders Greenville County is the third fastest growing area in the U.S (written in 2006 and stats show now that Spartanburg real estate is still the third fastest real estate growth in the U.S August 2008). . Many jobs are available in the area, such as BMW, Michelin, Flour, IBM and others making Greenville real estate and Spartanburg real estate valuable to those who are relocating to the area.
Each year as the city of Greenville, South Carolina grows, more and more beauty comes to the area, particularly the downtown Greenville area. Having been a resident of Greenville South Carolina for almost ten years, I have seen the Greenville real estate and the area grow and flourish. Downtown Greenville has boomed and increased in value greatly in this short time. From the new Greenville Drive baseball stadium in the West End to the Reedy River Falls Bridge in downtown Greenville there have been vast improvements. Areas of downtown Greenville that I was told to never drive through when I first moved here are now beautifully landscaped, inviting, thriving areas full of businesses and people enjoying the downtown Greenville.
